    Strengthening children’s voice and leadership in addressing climate change and disaster risk in Bangladesh Project

    The “Strengthening Children’s Voice and Leadership in Addressing Climate Change and Disaster Risk in Bangladesh” project, implemented by Jagrata Juba Shangha (JJS), commenced on September 1, 2023, and is slated to conclude on December 31, 2026. The project is supported by BMZ & KNH – Germany. It aims to benefit 6,592 direct beneficiaries and 205,534 indirect beneficiaries, with a total budget of BDT-7,64,87,611. The goal of the project: A total of 4,560 children from 10 upazilas of Khulna, Bagerhat and Satkhira districts and 4 wards from Khulna City Corporation will have the skills to reflect their perspectives, opinions and decisions in climate change policies and decision-making as agents of change. Overall Objective of the project: The perspectives and challenges of children and youth in the coastal regions of Bangladesh on climate change issues are entering the policy discourse and becoming an integral part of implementation strategies
