Promoting Child Protection through Decentralized & Integrated Diversion Model in Bangladesh

Project Goal

A national, integrated system to protect children from violence, abuse and exploitation, coordinated by the Government with full involvement of civil society stakeholders, parents and children with comprehensive realization of the rights of the child (as defined in the UNCRC) in Bangladesh.

Project Purpose

Community level mechanisms to prevent and redress instances of violence, abuse and exploitation developed, including a Decentralized and Integrated Diversion Models (DIDM) in Bangladesh, within the overall CRC framework proven effective and accepted as a viable part of a national approach to child protection.

Objective

Developing community mechanisms for child protection and diversion (Jessore)
Improving the children justices system and its implementation through national level intervention
Facilitating enabling national legal and policy framework
